To me, the hostess and the waiter play a major part in setting the first impression of a new restaurant. It's a shame that neither failed to set a good impression. The hostess not only failed to greet us, but sat us in the smoking section and without confirming with us.
The food was just 'okay'. Surprisingly the portions were quite generous. However, the dishes lacked 'character', 'identity'. They tasted like a whole lot of mix of Asian (Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, etc.) all mixed in together. My idea of fusion is 'creating a new' from a traditional, not 'losing by fusing'. I am sorry to say but I probably will not dine in this restaurant again.
It is not everyday that I feel the urge to complain about a restaurant, but I was not impressed with the food NOR the service at this restaurant.
Pros: portion
