Susanna Foo is a beautiful restaurant with a French-Chinese fusion menu. Appetizers are $10-16; entrees $22-29. I was expecting and outstanding meal, but was extremely disappointed in the food. The room is very pretty, lighting romantic and the atmosphere very pleasant. I ordered crab trio ($16) and short ribs ($27). The crab trio consisted of a crab spring roll was teeny with little filling and not very tasty, a crab cake, crab in the center, covered with tiny bread cubes and deep fried, and crab salad, that was 90% potato salad topped with three pieces of crab. Tasteless. The short rib was the size of a six-ounce fillet plus broccoli rabe (very bitter) in a sauce. The dish was pure disappointment. Although the meat was very tender the sauce was bland. Service was outstanding. I would not recommend Susanna Foo and go to Chinatown half a mile away.
Pros: service, atmosphere
Cons: food
