The food sits in big vats under heat lamps, making the greens soggy, the macaroni chewy, the fried chicken dry, etc. None of it seems freshly made to order. For brunch, they only make a certain amount of fried chicken, ""so
don't waste food."" What this means to you is that you may wait in line 8 minutes, only to have them say that they are now out of chicken and the next batch of will be ready in 10 or 15 minutes (this actually happened to me). Staff treats you like: ""You don't like it? Well there's hundreds of others in LA who'll come back, so we don't really care."" Once a year I get a wicked soulfood craving and go to Aunt Kizzy's...and once a year I am reminded that I vowed never to go back the last time I was there.
