Fratelli is awesome. I have been going here for years and the food is amazing. It is Italian, but not the homey, big sloppy style Italian most folks are used to.
Instead, the food seems highly attended to. Not fancy or chic, but rich and varied in flavor and, in general, the plates seem as if the kitchen cared.
The place looks great. It is primarily lit by candles, very romantic and a great date place. They also have big tables that are good for small groups. The service is always good, but not always excellent.
Desserts can be good, but they not the highlight. Salads are great, as are pastas, bruscetta & they usually have a great meat or fish dish or special.
