For those used to quick, budget-priced Chinese fare where you exit with little white containers, Mr. K's is a world apart. This is a restaurant where you go for the extraordinary ambience and professional, attentive (without being stuffy or overbearing) service. Most of us wouldn't flinch at entrees at a French restaurant starting at $20, but it's unusual for Asian fare. However, it's not the food you're paying for, especially since it's good but not great. This is a special place for a celebration, an important client, or a romantic tryst. The $45 prix fixe, four-course dinner is a treat, and includes three appetizers, soup, Peking duck, a choice of entree (from among two pages of choices), desert and tea or coffee. Regardless of your choice, expect to pay an average of $50 to $75 per person. And for the most part, it's worth it.
