Finally, Antonio has his own restaurant, and it's not half bad, to say the least. I think most of the user complaints aren't earth-shattering -- Belden Place is known for cramped space and soliciting waiters. And give Brindisi time to get smarter waitstaff. Plus, any place using tapas format -- especially in Italian cuisine -- is taking an understandable risk. But don't let that overshadow the food -- great appetizers (especially the octopus proscuitto and bruschetta), ambitious wines (try the whites) and solid entrees (lamb!). Plus Antonio's charm and friendliness -- even when we were patrons of his over at Tiramisu -- are hard not to compliment. Brindisi is off to a good start, and with time, will get better.
Pros: Ambitious menu, great appetizers, wonderful owner
Cons: , so-so waitstaff
