Never have I experienced such rude service before. I was excited to take a friend visiting from France to see that wine bars in this city can hang with those in her native country. Well, excitement soon turned to disappointment when the waitress rudely yelled that we could not sit at the small bar-style table unless we ordered food. Nevermind that we were sitting on the ""wine bar"" side of the restaurant rather than on the side where people were having dinner. Furthermore, it was a Wednesday night at 10:00, hardly prime dinner time, and there was no one waiting for a table. I had to wonder if she did the math: several glasses of wine would come to a total of nearly $50 while one appetizer would come in at just under $10. Needless to say, we were appalled by her extremely rude behavior and will never be back.
