You'll see what I mean. Rocketing down Grant Road, you might miss this place. It's not small, but its non-descript and set back some from the street and if youre not careful you could pass it by . . . if it werent for the life size matador and bull (anatomically correct, I might add). This is the beacon for excellent Mexican food. They do a mean carne seca. I keep meaning to try new things, but their carne seca has me hooked. Nobody seems to have heard of carne seca in Phoenix, where Im from. Its a simple concept: air dried beef, shredded, mixed with onions, tomatoes, and other stuff, and served in burritos, tacos, or by itself. A couple of places in Tucson do it very well: El Charro and Casa Molina. Im sure there are others, but there are only so many meals in a day. Pros: Carne seca, Refritos, Ample parking more
