Far from quaint and charming, Little Fish is cramped and lifeless. Ten tables are served by one overworked waitress, and the inability to provide alcoholic beverages and its cash-only policy make it inconvenient. All of this could be easily forgotten if there were tremendous and flavorful dishes. But the appetizers of one Sunday prix-fixe meal - scallops au gratin, crab cakes with avocado and watercress salad - are mediocre. The monkfish stew was just plain bland, despite fresh ingredients. And beware! An 8 oz. bottle of soda and cup of coffee cost an astonishing $5.00. Silly.
