I was in the mood for brick oven pizza as we had our first snow this year, so I decided to return to an old favorite, La Pizza Fresca. It had been a while since my last visit but when I arrived the waiter remembered me. Maybe I had forgotten how good their basic pizza margherita was because it was amazing this time -- the buffalo mozzarella was so rich and creamy it stood in delicious contrast to the sweet tomato sauce and chewy yet crisp crust. Truly a magnificent thing...it is just so different than all those other New York pizzas! I must return soon.
