I just came back from Vegas. Doubled my money, but that wasn't enough to keep me interested. I was frequently bored. Vegas is all about excessive waste. There is nothing orginal or true about any of it. There is nothing to do but gamble or shop, and the truth is once you've seen one casino you've seen them all.
If I'm going to spend money on a plane ticket just to go shopping and see shows I'd rather go somewhere real - like New York or Chicago. Besides, I'm from New Orleans, and so don't have to go any further than the French Quarter to have real fun.
Pros: leaving, friendly staff
Cons: everything else
