I stopped in one Sunday afternoon on a whim and had a pastrami and swiss on rye, a bowl of french onion soup and a cold mug of Shiner Bock. The food was just great and the beer reall hit ths spot.
So I took my kids in a while later and they loved it too. It quickly became one of our three favorite placed to eat in Austin. The other two are Shady Grove and Matt's El Rancho.
The food at Katz's has always been consistently good to me and the prices are reasonalble for what you get.
Great food, affordable prices - what more can I say?
