The hour wait is nothing compared to the 2.5 hour wait it was when Redstone opened. It goes to show that in spite of the wait, Redstone is good enough that people continue to eat there. You have to know who is dining to avoid the wait: its the western-suburb Yuppie crowd. So go before 7:00 for dinner or after 12:00 for lunch.
Go to Sunsets, Champps, Maynard's or any of the other summer hot spots and you'll encounter a similar wait. I agree, they should take reservations (which they do during the Holiday season), but you can call ahead to check the wait. The fish is incredible, as are the specials. The servers are excellent and can help you navigate the menu like a pro. So buck up and enjoy Restone or hop over to Ridgedale for a B.K. Whopper if it is speed you seek.
Pros: excellent menu, relatively smoke-free, Free valet-parking
Cons: a little pricey
