Manka's is a special place and one that I return to yearly. The staff is extremely friendly. The restaurant has an excellent wine list filled with rarities that one does not expect to find here (don't miss the unlabeled Sean Thackerey Roussane). The food is rustic haute cuisine and is modeled off of Chez Pannise. There is no choice nor does there need to be given the kitchen's skill. The complaints posted by most of the reviewers before me originate due to the lack of sophisitication of the reviewer not by any shortcomings of the restaurant. If one does not understand/appreciate unusual food from the wild than one should not eat here. For others, the restaurant is a gorgeous expeirence from beginning to end.
