My wife and I have been dining at Zula since we moved to Houston from Chicago. The first time we were greeted we knew we were in for a treat as soon as we slipped into one of their funky booths. I felt bad taking such a big table just for two but the manager insisted there are no small tables here. We dined again for the umpteenth time last Saturday and as usual the staff went out of their way to make us feel special. My wife ordered the foie grois with peaches and the owner dropped off a muscat to compliment it. I still think they have the best damn crabcake in town. Zula was there for the rebirth of downtown and as trendy as she looks, this baby's got legs. We live in the Rice Lofts and love to eat downtown, so we'll be back.
Pros: Great service, Wild decor, Great chef
Cons: Expensive, Closed Sundays
