Although Austin is known for Tex/Mex there aren't many places where you can get just a burrito especially in the West Side of town. Freebirds is a smaller regional chain, unlike Chiptole, that serves big burritos. Although you won't find any exotic toppings or meats like Pork (Carnitas) that you would find at an authentic taqueria, you can order Chicken and Beef Steak burritos. On the down side, if your a carnivore, depending on your server, the server may decide to enforce his/her political views (especially if they're vegetarian) and you'll end up with a burrito with less meat than others.
