I've been to Gatsby's several times and each has been so different from the other you would think I was at different bars. Gatsby's can be a quiet, sexy place to have drinks with a date (the spicy velvet banquettes are lovely to lounge in), a nice, low-key place to chat with friends or new friends (meet over a game of pool). Most recently it has been a pretentious, cover charging monstrosity (what on earth are they charging for anyway -the DJ plays routine music, no live act except for watching the antics of the mediocre bar population). Hope that Gatsby's will strive for former rather than the latter. Oh and although they say they have late night dining, I have yet to see an open kitchen.
Pros: Sexy seating, Fairly large space, Yummy specialty drink
Cons: Unpredicatable scene, Uncalled for cover, No kitchen
