The food was pretty gross. You can't really screw up a beer, so I have no complaints about the drinks, but SERIOUSLY do NOT stick around for the food. Overpriced, and icky. You always hear about how bland English food is - this is true here. Unless it's warm and you are outside, or you are seated right in front of the fireplace, there isn't a whole lot of ambience in the place either. If I could do it over again, I'd pass up the chance to go to the Cat & Fiddle.
Pros: Quick service, Nice patio, Historic building
Cons: Bad food, Lacks ambience, Overpriced
