A Twin Cities Legend 2/23/2003

I recently had the chance to visit the SPG on two occasions. Once for a quick dinner before a Wild game and another on the weekend with friends. On both occasions I found the food to be very good. For starters try the pepper chicken noodle soup - it's very tasty. The salmon entree is well-prepared and sides are good and big enough to be shared. The calves liver was also good however it was almost invisible beneath all the sauteed onions. All in all, the SPG remains a good place to have a nice dinner. That said, it is not one of the more creative dining experiences in town so don't expect much on that end. Pros: Good Service, Consistent Cooking, Atmosphere Cons: Lack of Menu Pizazz, Overly eager busboy, Parking on Busy Night more
