I don't usually review a restuarant after only one visit but Provence is the exception. For the Triangle, it's a 4 star dining experience. We had reservations for a Saturday night with another couple. Seating was prompt, service was very efficient and not stuffy, the tables were not too close and the other tables, people ranging from 25 to 75, were all having a great time. There was laughter in the air yet quieter than some of the Franklin Street restaurants. Oh, the food. Excellent. Authentic French, Provence style. Not Parisian with the rich sauces. The menu was varied with a nice selection of appetizers, salads and entrees. Interesting preparation of seafood, chicken and meat dishes. Also escargot for an appetizer if you are brave. The deserts were very good but could use a little improvement to make them really special. Not inexpensive but probably less than you might expect.
Pros: Excellent food, Good service, Friendly, not stuffy
