The New Orleans Airport has struggled through many different formulas for traffic flow in and out of the airport. Until Sep 11th, the current, very strange flow pattern seemed to work but now it has completely broken down.
The airport interior requires long walks especially to the single rental car shuttle station and has the smell of mold in the older sections.
Not a great place to get stuck... a real mess. Food is over priced, crowds are large, and facilities are limited.
