The Angus Barn is a Triangle institution, but it has succumbed to the ""get 'em in and get 'em out"" mentality which makes dining there an unpleasant experience. They plop a steak on your plate, which is rarely (no pun intended) cooked the way you order it, throw on a handfull of mundane veggies that would interest only a two-year old, and five minutes later the server apprears with your check and ask's, ""Is there anything else I can get for you this evening?"" And does the place have to be as noisy as a barn? You can't hear yourself think above the din and the busboys crashing empty dishes into plastic containers as they clear the tables. No thank's Angus Barn. I'm mooooooooving on to better restaurants.
