I don't think cooking the steak in butter really added anything to the meal but it didn't distract either. The side dishes were AMAZING and the potatos au gratin was the best I have ever had. Even though we had reservations we had to sit for almost 20 min waiting for a table. There were several large loud groups surrounding us so the place was not as romantic as it could have been. The waitstaff was very attentive though.
