The thrill starts as you come around the curve on 35 and see Lake Superior, the beautiful bridges and the city spred out for miles, it literally takes your breath away. I like to walk along the lake from Bayfront Park all the way to Lief Erickson Park, take in the rose gardens, then stop at Fitzgers for lunch and shopping. Canal Park is great for food, shopping, museums, boat rides and ships arriving. The Bayfront Blues Festival is one of the ten best in the country. I could go on and on!
Pros: a short trip, something for everyon, never boaring
Cons: hotel prices in summe, winter driving, having to go home
