I am a local pastry chef dating a chef de cuisine, so we often cook at home. For special occasions, however, we very much appreciate discovering and enjoying the best Denver-area restaurants we can find. Mizuna is tops on our list. We celebrated my birthday there last week and everything was superb. The sauce reductions were incredibly flavorful (one with duck, the other for tenderloin)...we savored every bite. Our starter of crab cakes was delicious because of the quality of the crab but also the basil oil drizzled around the remoulade sauce. Amazing! Our waiter, Paul, offered efficient and discreet service. When I mentioned that I was a bit cold, the owner/manager turned the air down immediately. Excellent food and service all around! Frank: you and your kitchen staff are simply wonderful. We know what it's like to attempt such a delivery (of food and service) and you do it!
