Just got back from Arezzo. Thought the food was very good, especially the polenta appetizer and the table side bread. The veal and a chicken dish were good, as were the desserts, custard and torta ricotta. What really bothered me was that we were hardly acknowledged by the staff. The place was almost empty but we were studiously avoided. The waitress was competent but devoid of any affect. (It's ok to smile, dear.) Three guys were roaming around (owners? bartenders? managers?). None of them ever stopped by and asked how was the meal or said thanks for coming.
