Went to Ruth's Chris on 8/31/02. I was looking forward to it after having been to other good steak places in SF. The food was quite good and deserves their reputation for good flavors. But they lose points when it came to service. Having never eaten there, the waiter should have informed us that side portions were rather large and that we did not need to order two per person. My group of 5 wasted alot of food and money as a result. Also given the large portions I informed the waiter we wanted some of the items to go, he then proceeded to throw the items away. He replied he had not heard us. For the price I would eat elsewhere, Izzy's or House of Prime Rib being to great SF alternatives.
