First off: Austin is a great town.
Nevertheless, there are many places and things in this town which, because they are seen as being ""Austin-y"", are highly overrated by the residents. Freebirds is one (Shinerbock, Huts, and ESPECIALLY CHUY'S are others). This place is pretty good, but it is no better than Chipotle, which is much easier to eat at because they have more locations, and they are cheaper.
