Kerby Lane Cafe on S. Lamar has a lot of ""character"". I have never eaten there late at night, but at 8:30 on a Saturday morning there was no wait, the service was fast and the food was wonderful. I recommend the Gingerbread Pancakes (I could only make it through one) and a glass of milk.
