We went to Chinatown on our continuing quest to find a decent Chinese restaurant in Austin. The closest we have been able to find is PF Changs, which we know is not really Chinese. At Chinatown we had the General Tso's chicken and the Honey Walnut Shrimp. Both were overly fried and the General's chicken was soggy. Neither had much flavor. We do not understand the number of 10's this restaurant has received. Chinatown does not even begin to compare to average Chinese restaurants in LA, NY, and the Bay Area.
Pros: easy parking, inexpensive, good service
Cons: boring food, americanized chinese
