I recently went to Haiku for my first sushi experience and thought it was a great place overall. Although I'm sure service from different servers varies, the woman who waited on my date and I was extremely helpful and thoroughly unpretentious when it came to educating me about sushi and how to eat it. It turns out that I'm not a huge fan of sushi, but had I ordered the things that she recommended instead of what my date suggested, I'm sure I would have enjoyed the meal more. The atmosphere was soothing yet not too calm, and the decor was simple yet artfully done.
