What a delightful suprise in Wallingford to find such a lovely Italian treat. Asteriod has a giant menu full of pasta cooked to perfection and ""specials"" that include complex flavors and smooth Italian taste. The wine list includes several gems and if you are not an expert any one of their staff is knowledgeable and shares their wisdom on what to drink with your meal.
The only downside to Asteriod is the size of the restraunt. With only about 15 tables many will find a short wait (with no where to wait but outside on the sidewalk). But be patient, the food/wine and imported Italian Ice dessert is well worth a short wait on the sidewalk.
