Year after year, this place gets nominated for the best dim sum in the area. Huh??? This is the San Francisco Bay Area, not some one stoplight hick town in Montana. Who keeps rating this place so high? I've eaten at this place several times for over 10 years and this has always been the constant: way overpriced for mediocre food at small portions. Also, it's ""California"" dim sum for yuppies. The portions are small and not for a Chinese palate. And for the price, I could get much better (and authentic) dim sum at places like Koi Palace or Fook Yuen. Heck, if I want good, authentic dim sum at reasonable prices, there's a better alternative right next door! There at least three or four Chinese restaurants within six blocks of Ton Kiang that serve better dim sum.
