I am Japanese and I have been to a lot of famous sushi restaurants in Japan as well as N.Y. and L.A. The quality of Ototos sushi was as high as top sushi restaurants in Tokyo and their menu was much more creative than Nobu in N.Y. (though I never liked Nobu). All the dishes were perfect and they looked like modern art. I especially loved their huge lobster tempura roll. The design of the restaurant was super modern and stylish, yet it had a Zen feeling. At a sophisticated restaurant like Ototo, servers are often snobbish and cold, but service at Ototo was very friendly. My friends and I expected to receive a huge bill because of their great food and service, but we paid less than $20 per person. Im glad that I dont have to wait for a table for hours at I Love Sushi anymore.
