Having surfed world wide I love the area and it's waves. Not world class interms of size but the total set up makes it one of the best summer wave locations in the USA. Lots of good uncrowded sand bars that produce quality at different tides along with warm water and friendly people. I live in SoCal and would rather surf the outer banks in the summer than any SoCal breaks. To bad it's 3000 miles away!
Pros: Uncrowed beachs, cheap camping, great food
