I no longer live in Austin but this is always my first stop whenever I come back. There is no better restaurant that represents the easy going pace of Austin better than Shady Grove. A warm afternoon in the sun shaded patio with a cold iced tea and catfish makes for a unique experience. The menu is diverse and offers tasty choices ranging from chicken tacos, hippie sandwhiches, cold shine bock beer, catfish, thai salad and of course the shady fries. Keep up the good work and the Austin tradition. Those who did not live in Austin back in the 70', 80's and 90's can't appreciate the atmosphere as much of the newbies.
