Chevy's had a good thing going for awhile: chain food that wasn't bad. The homemade tortillas were a nice touch, and the margaritas kicked ass. It was also a fun place for birthdays because they'd make you wear a funky sombrero. Now, it seems like the quality has gone down tremendously. It's a much lower common denominator of Mexican food. The rice packs too much of a kick for most Gringos to handle. The rest of the menu is somewhat generic. Bottom line: why go here when we live in a city filled with authentic Mexican food and tons of healthy fresh mex stands.
Pros: good margaritas, fun for birthdays, homemade tortillas
Cons: food only ok
