You will be shocked at how great this aquarium is. People live here for years and don't even know that NYC has an aquarium--let alone one as large as this. Maybe if it was still down at the Battery (were it was for years, before moving out to Coney). The attractions are top-notch; some of the more well-known are the sea lions, who frolic outdoors in a manmade ""sea cliff"" with views of the boardwalk, and the famously ""gay"" penguins. (Ask an attendant, they'll know what you're talking about). Plus, unlike some other aquariums, this one is literally yards away from an actual ocean. Once you're done looking at the fishes you can go swim with them.
