I used to go there everyday for lunch. I'd get a bagel, some avocado and lox. I think my meal came to about $3 or $4. Not bad for good food. As I recall, the soups were quite tasty as well.
The mostly hippie staff can be frustrating when you've been waiting for awhile, but for the most part they are reasonable people with healthy attitudes.
Dog lovers often bring their canine companions along with them, so don't be surprised to see a whole row of animals outside on the patio.
