From the time I first got into Santa Monica, this has been my primary hangout. The Irish and English ales are served properly, the food ranges consistently from ""good"" to ""very good"", the bartenders will probably become your friends, and you'll find it hard to get off those plush barstools by the end of the evening. As a bonus (or perhaps a detriment, depending on what you're after) I've rarely found the place so busy I couldn't find a good spot at the bar.
