I'm rather suprised at some of the ratings I've been reading here for the Matterhorn. The service on the many occasions I've been there has been nothing short of professional and courteous. It's brisk and efficient, but not unfriendly. I've had many of the cheese fondues, and the food is generally outstanding, though the desserts need a little work. This is a simple, straightforward fondue restaurant that is, according to Swiss friends of mine, almost exactly like one would find in Switzerland.
