I bought a pair of Ecco shoes at the Shoe Mania b/w University and 5th for $89.95. When I wore them out the next day, one shoe sprang a hole after 15 minutes of walking on perfectly even sidewalk. I brought them back the next day, and the salespeople were very rude. One woman pretty much snapped at me when I told her I needed a refund or exchange for defective shoes. The manager was out to lunch, but when he got back,
he said a refund was impossible, but exchanged them for another pair. At no point did anybody apologize for the inconvenience. Instead, they acted as if I was inconveniencing them! Shoe Mania has been around for a while, but you have to wonder why. The service was brusque at best, and downright rude at worst.
