I have done extensive work on our house. I frequent yardbirds, home depot and Friedmans. I would say easily the best service and knowledgable help is found at Friedmans. Yardbirds does a pretty good job at wanting to help most of the time. I have found couple of people at yardbirds that have been down right rude and non helpful. I understand they probably had a long day, but that just means I didn't get help. Prices at Home Depot usually blow ybs and freidmans out of the water. Home Depot by far is the least customer friendly. Even the experts there seem to be annoyed by questions.
