Delicious and spicy (but pricey) 2/23/2005

Wu Liang Ye is our favorite Chinese restaurant in New York (and probably my favorite anywhere outside of China). If you like real Szechuan food, this is the place. We usually get the Dan Dann noodles, doubled fried pork, bang bang chicken, or eggplant, along with dou miau (snow pea shoots, pronounced more like dom yaou; not on the menu but usually available if you ask). Just be prepared for more than a little heat. But it is absolutely delicious. You'll pay more than you will at most Chinese restaurants. But you will more than get your money's worth. more
