I always liked to come over to Elk Grove Brewery on Friday nights to unwind. The food is good, nothing really fancy though. The beers are great, and judging by the number of awards that they have garnered, awards judges agree too. They also have different bands playing on friday and saturday nights and there are no cover charges.
I heard that they started doing auctions on tuesday nights which sounds like fun.
