I had the opportunity to eat at Mother's restaurant in the Downtown Brea area. It's a fairly new restaurant, in a location that has seen the demise of many restaurants.
The menu was just plain boring. It looked like an attempt at "comfort food" but without any specialness to it. The staff was friendly enough, but I must have been there during their busy time. I waited an extraordinarily long time for my entrée.
Once I did get my entrée, I would compare it to cheap diner food. Nothing special, but that makes it just more painful for the price that we paid.
I hope it's just the newnest of the restaurant and not the norm.
