Dave’s Comics has been advertising nationally for nearly thirty years in the very pages of comic books that they carry in strong supply. If you’re looking for a mainstream Marvel or DC back issue, then Dave’s Comics is where you go if you’re willing to pay top price. Many books seem to be sold at Overstreet Guide plus prices, which means I’m not going in there too often. Also, the hefty $20 subscription box down payment system is a little sketchy and outdated. A trip to Dave’s Comics isn’t complete with at least a little guilt thrown your way for not using them regularly. So remember, you only go to Dave’s once you’ve looked everyplace else first. And if you’re looking for some hot independent title, it’s probably best not to go there at all.
