It is true that this is a small practice and that you often see the same doctor, which is very nice. The doctors are good. However, I have found that over the last year the office staff has become increasingly impolite and indifferent about scheduling appointments.
The office staff is the first responder to any type of call you place to the pediatrician, whether it be an acute illness or a routine visit.
My daughter has not had a lot of sick calls, but when she has been sick I have found the receptionists to be rude and insensitive. They make you feel like you are inconveniencing them by requesting an appointment.
I think when you work at a pediatrician's office and have to deal with parents who have sick kids, you should be a little compassionate and able to deal with people.
