The Watch Hill Carousel is a big part of my childhood memories. Located at the end of Bay street in Watch Hill, this a good spot to take the kids after a day at the beach or after walking the shops on Bay Street.
The carousel does not have a platform to stand on under the horses so parents cannot ride with the children. I would say probably 4 is a good age to start riding this particular carousel. If the children get an outside horse they have a chance to grab the brass ring (and a free ride) as they go around.
The carousel is beautiful and inexpensive. Watch Hill is beautiful and not so inexpensive.
