I went with some friends to Pepito's for margaritas - our little cocktail hour soon turned into some major noshing. Someone ordered the chips and queso and all bets were off. They were just so good, we had to have more. Then someone suggested dinner and before we knew it were sitting there blissfully full. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, someone ordered the fried ice cream. Oh my! Words fail me when I try to describe just how good it was. I've been to a few other places and ordered their fried ice cream to try to recapture that moment, only to be severely disappointed. So, from here on out I solemnly pledge to do right by my taste buds and only get my fried ice cream from Pepito's!
